Terms and conditions: Rising Women Hikes (18+)

1. Eligibility

Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or over. By booking, you confirm you meet this age requirement.

2. Booking and payment

Bookings are confirmed once full payment is received. Payments are non-refundable.

3. Cancellation and ticket transfers

Tickets can be transferred to another date or to another person if you are unable to attend. Tickets can be transferred free of charge up to 2 weeks before your hike. To transfer a ticket, you must notify Rising Women Hikes with the new participant’s details or preferred date. No cash refunds or partial refunds are available. Rising Women Hikes reserves the right to cancel events due to safety, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, tickets may be transferred to a future event or a full refund will be issued at the organiser’s discretion.

4. Liability and risk

Participation involves physical activity and inherent risks. You accept full responsibility for any injuries, accidents, or loss incurred. Rising Women Hikes and its organisers are not liable for personal injury, illness, or property damage. Participants must disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely take part.

5. Conduct and safety

Participants must follow the guidance of hike leaders at all times. Respect fellow participants, the environment, and local laws. Pets are strictly prohibited.

6. Photography and media

Rising Women Hikes may take photos or videos during events. By participating, you consent to their use for promotional purposes.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

8. Privacy policy

Your personal information will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found below. Information is collected solely for the purpose of managing bookings and communicating with participants.

  • Payment information: processed securely by third-party providers
  • Health or accessibility information: if voluntarily provided to support safe participation
  • Photo or media consent: if you agree to be photographed or recorded during events

Your personal information is used only for purposes related to organising and running our hikes, including:

Personal information is stored securely, accessed only by authorised adults, and deleted within three weeks after each hike, unless retention is necessary for safeguarding or follow-up purposes.

If you provide photo or media consent, this will be retained for up to one year or until it is no longer needed for promotional purposes. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Your data may only be shared with:

  • Event facilitators, to ensure safety and smooth organisation
  • Payment processors (e.g., Eventbrite) to process transactions securely
  • Legal authorities, if required by law

  • Request corrections or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for communications or media use at any time
